Foufou’s Obedience School commemorates its tenth year of business this weekend. The school for training pets of all kinds has become Odyssey’s number one animal school. Owner Hank Foufou said that the school has been built on discipline, hard work, perseverance. “The trainers at our school don’t take any guff from anyone, especially the animals,” he said. “We don’t allow the animals to walk all over us. We’re here to train them to be obedient by any means necessary.”
Foufou said that the school would be celebrating its ten years by holding conference this weekend entitled “Parrots are People Too.” The conference speakers include Evelyn Harcourt, one of primary sponsors of the business, who will speak on teaching birds to say three word phrases.
Additionally, the popular local television show, “BTV,” announced that it would be shooting one of its episodes at the School. “Since we normally have some chaos on the set of BTV, we figured it wouldn’t hurt anything to be at a place with a lot of barking dogs and squawking birds,” said Bernard Walton, star of the show. The episode will air February 10th in the usual BTV time slot.
